ComServe Online Help: Pager Protection
Pager protection is provided to the user and is non-transferable. Customers who select the pager protection servcie plan receive unlimited free repair service on pagers damaged due to manufacturer defect or through normal usage for as long as the pager is in repairable condition. However, pager protection does not cover damage caused by mishandling or negligence, including pages with physical or water damage.

If the customer has a pager with irreparable damage or when COMSERVE is unable to repair the pager, the cusotmer will need to purchase a replacement pager at our standard price. The customer is responsible for shipping and handling charges to send the pager to COMSERVE for repair. Customer's account must be current and in good standing before repair claims are processed. Pager protection must be in place for three months to process claims.
