My pager display reads "Tone Only"

"Tone Only" indicates an incomplete page being sent by the caller. The caller disconnected without entering any information, or you were in a fringe area or non-coverage area when the page was received.

My pager display has Antenna-like symbols or Out of Range on the LCD screen

This message indicates that the pager is no longer detecting a signal from a transmitter. The pager is no longer in a covered area, or there is a system problem. If you are confident that you are in your coverage area and the problem persists for 24 hours, please contact ComServe for further assistance.

My pager is receiving garbled messages

My pager display reads "Low Cell" or a battery symbol is displayed

This indicates the pager battery needs to be replaced.

My pager is not receiving any pages

This could possibly be due to a low battery cell. Take out the old battery, let the pager "reset" itself for approximately 10-15 minutes and then replace the battery with a new cell. If your LCD display is still showing the date and time and replacing the battery did not help, please call ComServe for further assistance.

  1. Dial your pager number
  2. Enter 0, then your access code
  3. Enter 11..Custom Greeting
  4. Enter 30…begin recording
  5. Enter 1…end recording
  6. Enter 40…review message
